Starting the Soothing Device
To operate, the device requires THREE RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES TYPE AAA (NiMH). Whisbear® recommends size AAA NiMH rechargeable batteries (1.2V), but remember that the actual size of batteries produced by different manufacturers may vary even if they are the specs are the same in the
documentation.
To insert or replace batteries, unscrew the screw and prise the plate open. Load the batteries into the
compartment and screw the plate back. If the batteries are flat, charge them with a recommended
RECHARGEABLE charger by connecting it to the USB port of the soothing device.
To turn the device on or off, press anywhere on the top side of the device briefly once. The soothing device may be also switched on the same way while secured in the E-zzy’s pocket.
Charging
Before first use install new rechargeable batteries in the soothing device, and connect the device to a charger. Use the USB cord supplied with the product. Connect the USB cord to a charger. The charger is not included in the set. Connect the USB cord to the USB port in the device.
It takes about 2 hours to fully charge a completely dead battery. Disconnect external charger after that time.
It’s best to charge the device only after the batteries are completely depleted.
The device informs about depleted batteries with a short, intermittent audio signal. Low power may affect the quality and sound volume of soothing sound. If the audio quality or the volume of the soothing sound is significantly worse, replace the batteries.
Use only chargers dedicated for the device. Using non-compatible chargers and cords may cause permanent damage to the battery or the device. Failure to connect the charger correctly may damage the charger or the device. The warranty does not cover damage resulting from incorrect use.
Do not leave the toy unattended while it is charging.
To turn the device on or off, press the top of the device briefly once. It will gradually
automatically reduce the sound volume and turn off after about 45 minutes of work. The duration can be changed with the app.
Using the device with active CRYsensor feature
The intelligent CRYsensor function analyzes the sound from its surroundings and it is particularly sensitive to a baby’s cry.
Soothing sound switches on automatically, when the device detects a sound and interprets it as a cry. If E-zzy the Sloth is located close to the child, the device may also switch on after detecting other loud noises that may wake the baby up, or when the baby moves rapidly.
To turn the device on or off, press the top of the device briefly once. It will gradually automatically reduce the sound volume and automatically switches to the 3-hour CRYsensor stand-by mode.
If the baby starts crying during the 3 hours of CRYsensor standby mode, the device analyzes the cry for a few seconds and automatically starts soothing sound for additional 45 minutes. After that time it switches to the 3-hour long CRYsensor standby mode again. The cycle is repeated until the device is switched off. The device switches off automatically after 3 hours if no crying is detected or it can be switched off manually by pressing the button.
The default duration of soothing sound and CRYsensor stand-by mode can be changed with the app.
Removing the batteries automatically restores the device’s default settings.
Turning the CRYsensor feature ON and OFF
To turn the CRYsensor feature on or off, when the device is off (not producing soothing sound) press and hold the button on the device for about 3 seconds. A short audio signal confirms CRYsensor’s mode change.
Adjusting volume on the device
Adjust the soothing sound volume according to your baby’s needs.
To adjust volume, press and hold the button for at least 3 seconds when the device is working (producing soothing sound). The
first time you do it, the sound volume increases; the second time it decreases. Pressing and holding the button for at least 3
seconds when the device is off (not producing soothing sound), switches the CRYsensor feature on or off.
The device remembers the selected volume value and, when switched on again, it will automatically use the last setting.
